What is the Citizen Alert Program?
Sign up to get emergency & community alerts on your cell phone, home & work phones. You can also get alerts via text message, email!
You can receive alerts about emergencies & events that may affect your home, your parents' home, your workplace, and your child's school, as long as those locations are within the boundaries of the city or county METCOM, serves.
What type of alerts will be sent?
Two Primary Types of Alerts
1. Imminent threats to life, health and safety, and property

- → 911 Outages
- → Critical Police Activities
2. Special community events

A. If you don't sign up, you will Only receive notifications on your traditional home phone, but nowhere else.
A. If your info changes, you must go to your profile and update the information. If you have a landline based telephone, your info will be updated automatically.
